Practice management
Mr Colin Wilson is our practice manager and Miss Abbie Dore is our operations manager. They are responsible for the running of the Bridgemary Medical Centre and should be able to help you with any administrative or non-medical aspects of your health and treatment. If you wish to give some feedback, have a suggestion to make or a complaint they will be happy to listen
Reception
Our receptionists, led by our reception manager Jane Haworth , are your first point of contact with the practice and aim to signpost you to the most appropriate service.
The receptionists will ask for some brief information on your current needs, particularly when requesting emergency appointments. Please help them by explaining your needs and they will endeavour to find the best solution to your problem. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses. Our receptionists, however, are not medically trained.
If you wish information in detail about practice services or medical issues, please ask to speak to one of our nursing or medical staff.
Clinical administration team
Our Clinical Administration team work behind the scenes ensuring all requests from both clinicians and patients are completed to the highest standard. The team will action, all referral requests, coding and work flowing of incoming documentation, medical report requests (SARs), note summarising and any other administration queries. Please be aware, our clinical administration team are not medically trained. They only manage clinical documentation.
GP assistants
Our GP assistants help support our GPs by actioning requests that are within their scope. They will support with blood pressure monitoring, follow up missed appointments, book appointments as requested by our GP’s and much more. Please be aware, our GP assistants are not medically trained and will liaise with nursing or medical staff if appropriate.
The team also hold the following titles at Bridgemary Medical Centre: Veteran supporter, Cancer care support administrator and Safeguarding administrator.
QOF team
Our Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) team support the practice by conducting the following: long-term condition recalls, following-up outstanding immunisations, seasonal influenza invitations and other vaccines that require an eligibility criterion, cervical smear invitations and much more.
Our QOF team work tirelessly to unsure all patient’s who need to be seen for their long-term condition are invited for their annual review. Please be aware you should be invited for your annual review according to your birth month.
